Accessorizing Your Bathroom

It is not surprising to know that some people regard their bathrooms as their own personal sanctuary. When you think about it, there is no other place in the house where you can truly be on your own but the bathroom. While you may share your bedroom with your spouse, or other family members if you are unmarried, your bathroom time is as a rule, your time with you self.

For a lot of people, the bathroom is their own asylum; a place where they can take a break from everything and everyone, simply spending time with themselves. The bathroom is a place where they can relax; take a long bubble bath while listening to smooth classical music while getting a whiff of nice aroma scented candles. And for people who believe this, a bathroom should not only have a toilet and a shower, it should be equipped with five or more of the following accessories to really make it a personal haven.

* Robe hooks and towel rings.

In going to and from the bathroom, we usually dress ourselves in our bath robes or in our towels. And when we get there and take that refreshing shower or that warm bath, we usually strip down as when we were first born. So where do our dear bath robes go? Of course, we cannot simply leave them lying on the floor to get dirty and soiled. We have to put them in a place where they can be kept tidy for us to be able to wear them back as soon as we are done with our daily bath. And so we need to have robe hooks or towel rings to hang them on. Choose hooks that have enough clasps to hold your robes or towels in place and keep them from sliding on the floor.

* Soap dispensers, dishes and toilet paper holders.

To be able to relax in your bathroom, it must be tidy and free from clutter. We can always better meditate and unwind in a place which is neat and orderly. So to keep things organized, your bathroom must have its essentials in their proper place. Soap should be placed neatly in soap dishes and soap dispensers which can be easily accessed. Some families have different soap preferences. Mom's soap may not work for dad and of course, the baby's soap should always be milder than that of adults. Separate these soaps and place them in different dishes. Better if you choose colored dishes that can identify with the owner; Pink for mom, blue for dad and yellow for baby. This way it would be easier to identify which is for whom. As for the toilet paper, it is a must that they be placed on holders. Toilet papers are quite thin and can easily get wet. And when they do, they become unusable. Throwing them out would be a big waste of money. Toilet holders can prevent them from being soaked and makes it easy for you to reach out for a handful of toilet paper when you need it.
