Three Rooms That Need Major Remodeling

If you want a totally new house, you don't need to tear it down and build a new one. All you have to do is bring together a solid plan to remodel some of the rooms inside the house.

Of course, you can go ahead and redesign all the rooms but you will find that some of the rooms will need a lot of major work done than some of the others. So what you need to do is come up with a plan and a budget by looking at the rooms that will need the most changes. Here are some of those rooms.

• The Kitchen – The place where you cook and do all the dishes is the first place that you should look into when you are remodeling your home. This is because the kitchen is probably one of the most used rooms in your whole house. All your food is stored there, the dishes and pots and pans are placed in the many cabinets within, and remember that you wash things in there as well. What this means is that there are pipes running through the walls and the floor.

So if you remodel this part of the house, it will mean a lot of work if you are planning to shift things around like the kitchen sink or the dishwasher. All your water pipes have to be re-routed in a case like this.

There are also other items in the kitchen made of all sorts of materials. You have to consider your wooden cabinets, your marble table top where you prepare all your dishes, and the porcelain parts of your kitchen sink and surrounding area. This is where most of your money will be spent when it comes to remodeling.

• The Bathroom – This is obviously another part of the house that will go through major revision if you want to remodel it. The main thing is the pipes that run through this room. There is the toilet, the sink, the shower, and/or the bath to consider when you are making any physical changes to the room itself. You then have to think of the tiling on the floor and the walls. You may need to replace them if these are damaged in the remodeling process. A lot of money will be spent in this room as well.

• The Bedroom – Now, there is not much that needs to be replaced or re-arranged when it comes to the bedroom because all you really need to think about is all the furnishings inside. Nevertheless, you will want your bedroom to be the best looking in the house. It should be the most comfortable room and therefore should contain all the best things that money can buy.

Remodeling a bedroom can easily mean replacing the bed you sleep in, the carpeting, some of the major cabinets and closets inside (especially if these are not separate from the room's walls), and all the other little luxuries that you want to make the remodeling a success.
